Description
Budleja salviifolia tree leaves
Buddleja salviifolia, common names sage bush and sage wood. Some people also called it a butterfly bush because it attracts so many butterflies. From the Family: Scrophulariaceae. It is found in Africa from Kenya right down to Southern Africa.
This sample was found in the Moreletta Nature reserve in Pretoria, South Africa. It grows on rocky mountain slopes but there is enough water that drains from the mountain. Most Buddleja davidii, so there are not that many of salviifolia. maybe the reason is also that it is native to Africa.
